I must apologize for disappearing again. It seems that mom gets busy and forgets to help us post! She just got back from Gatlinburg, TN on Sunday. Our Aunty Jen had rented a cabin in the Smokey Mountains for three days/four nights. Her now ex-boyfriend bailed out on her, sticking her with the cabin that was too late to get a refund on to cancel. Stupid boys (men!). Anymew, since the place was paid for and Aunty Jen didn't want to lose her money, she asked mom to go with her.
Mom said it was beautiful all day Thursday and Friday (they drove there on Wednesday). Saturday was cold and rainy, but she said the clouds surrounded the mountains and at times they couldn't see anything but the trees right by the upper deck on the cabin! Mom said it was still beautiful, but in a different way.
She also saw a lot of birds and squirrels, one ground hog, katydids, moths, butterflies, and blue tailed skinks.
Mom didn't take this picture, but this is what a blue tailed skink looks like:
We think he'd make a nice snack!
We are also remembering September 11, 2001. Me (Clarissa) and Sable were the only two kitties from our house who were around at that time - and Sable would have still been with his cat-mommy.
It is nice to hear from you and I'm glad to know you are okay!
ReplyDeleteshe was just a few miles from us.
ReplyDeleteWow, it sounds like that cabin was loaded with snacks! And I bet your human did not even bother to indulge in a moth or tasty skink.
ReplyDeleteA cabin in the woods sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you! Sounds like your Mommy had a beautiful trip. Hope she has some pics to share. Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see you again my dear!
