Good afternoon to all of our friends, both old and new! We are all doing well in hot, hot, hot Kentucky! It is so hot that we don't even want to lay on mom when she is home. And if you believe that we have a bridge we would like to sell to you!
Lily is adjusting to her blindness. She tends to stay in the family room and kitchen. There is a bed that is in a corner under a table. That is her spot to sleep. She seems to feel safe there and we leave her alone. She still sleeps in the recliners, too. Mom has been putting drops in Lily's eyes twice a day. That is for the glaucoma she has. Mom has to take Lily back to the ophthalmologist on August 3rd. We will share more information when we have it.
Mom is slowly cleaning out closets. There is too much stuff in the house and mom said it has to go. If she hasn't used it or worn it in the past two years then it is going out. Eventually she wants to have a room cleaned out and set up for her arts and crafts things; a place where she can close the door and work without being snoopervised by us. We don't know how we feel about that! Some of us like to be helpful and make sure mom is doing a good job!
We hope all of you are well and staying cool during this hot summer!
