Man-Kitten Monday

These two cuties just got there Forever Homes on Friday with a friend of mom's who lives out-of-state. Their names are Bendlet and Bowtie. As you can see from the first two pictures, both babies where born with twisted front legs.

This is Bendlet.

This is Bowtie.

Their new meowmie has dealt with this "problem" before. Her dear Bendy kitty crossed the Bridge, was also born with twisted front legs. Bendy wore splints on his front legs and it helped straighten them enough for him to get around without any problems. The kittens now have splints on their little front legs.

Their meowmie also took in two senior kitties over the weekend. Montana is 19 years old and was left at a shelter. Montana will live out the rest of her days here. She brought a friend with her, mancat Logan, who is 12.

We are so happy these kitties have found a forever home with our mom's friend.

Friends-Day Friday: Gretel

Today we want to introduce you to are cute tabby friend named Gretel. We met her on the Meowmail Forum. Her angel sisters, Holly and Willow and Clara used to post there. Gretel is an only cat and she lives in the great state of Maryland with her human mom and human grandma. We think she is the cat's meow!

We told you Gretel was cute!

We don't know what Gretel is looking at, but it sure has her attention!

We hope everyone has a great weekend!

Today we would like you to meet our friends from the MeowMail Forum. This is a place where cats (and a few dogs and sometimes some other critters) hang out. Please come visit sometime.

Without further ado, we would like you to meet our friends, Boo and Oakley:

Mancat Monday: Fredrick Jerome DeWinter

Hi friends!  I haven't visited for awhile because sister Clarissa hogs the blog! She would disagree with me, but that's okay. We all love her anyway. I wanted to let everyone know that I have recovered from my bout of conjunctivitis. Mom had to put that icky ointment in my eye twice a day for 10 days, but it worked. She also gave me a claw trim once while she and my human uncle restrained held me.

It rained and rained and rained here yesterday. Mom thought we might have to start building a boat because it was raining so much. A little water came into the garage. That's not unusual when we have that much rain. Our back yard use to flood until the city had work done in the area to help that problem.

I didn't worry about any of the rain. I enjoyed a day of napping!

Have a great Monday and a wonderful week!

Purrs,
Fred

Happy New Year!!!

So we are a week late wishing our friends a happy new year! Mom had so much to catch up on at work after being gone for a week, then she was off work again between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day because the university shuts down. We had mom to ourselves for about 11 days! It was fantastic! There was lots of snuggle time, and treat time, and brushies time!

Fred had to go to the vet for eye trouble while mom was on break. Mom noticed he had a "winky" eye on Christmas day. By the next day his eye was inflamed and red. The vet couldn't see him until the following day, but it was what mom expected...conjunctivitis from the feline herpes virus. Fred had to have eye ointment applied twice daily for about 10 days. His eye has cleared up, but now it looks like Sable may have it in one eye! We have our paws crossed that it won't make the rounds through the house.

We hope all of friends are well and that their new year is off to a fantastic start!!!
