Throwback Thursday...sort of

Kitties! Do you remember baby Poe? He was the little black kitten mom found at work. He had been dumped in the parking lot. She took him home and then to the vet for an exam, then he took a long car ride to North Carolina, and then he took another car ride to South Carolina with his forever mom and dad. Here are a few pictures to refresh your memory:

Who are you?

Where is my dinner?!!!

Are you my new mom?

When mom found Poe the vet estimated his age to be around 8 weeks. That meant that Poe was probably born in June. So without further adieu, here are a couple of pictures of  1 year old Poe:

As you can see, Poe has grown up to be a very handsome mancat and house panther! Nancy said he is still a mama's boy and loves to be in her lap or next to her. Mom said that Poe reminds her very much of Sable. Not so much in looks (although Sable is also a house panther) but in personality and behavior. Sable is mom's personal "lap fungus"

Thank you, Nancy, for sharing pictures of cousin Poe with us!

Throwback Thursday - Colin Feral

Mom doesn't have many pictures of our angel brother, Colin Feral. He lived with us for only 4 short weeks. When mom took him in off the street she didn't know he had lymphoma. But for those 4 short weeks Colin was with us he knew he was loved. And he gave love back in return. We still miss you, sweetheart.

Throwback Thursday AND Thankful Thursday

I decided to combine Throwback Thursday and Thankful Thursday together today. The "throwback" part comes from the "baby" pictures that mom found from my "Gotcha Day." Mom went to an outdoor gathering for the Kentucky Humane Society to look for a dog and she came home with me! I was 8 weeks old and I had a runny eye and I kept sneezing! I was on an antibiotic for a couple of weeks and I was treated for fleas a few weeks later.

The "thankful" part is because I'm so thankful that I ended up with a great forever home with mom and all of my brothers and sisters. But for the first year I was in my home, I was the only cat.

My Gotcha Day anniversary is coming up in a couple of weeks. These pictures are from August 27, 2000. Mom said she can hardly believe that I've been with her for 14 years.

And this is what I look like now! Mom should have saved this picture for Whiskerhump Wednesday!

Throwback Thursday

Mom was looking at some photos she has stored at Photobucket and she found this one of our angel brother, Bandit Bigtoes:

Bandit unexpectedly crossed the Rainbow Bridge on December 27, 2013. It was quite a shock to us and our mom. We miss him and his sweet personality a lot. But we know he is watching over us and we just know he comes to visit us, too. And yes, he is sleeping on a vinyl table cloth. Silly boy.
