*shaking my furry head* We don't know what we are going to do with our meowmie. She brought home another cat on Saturday afternoon. We used to be "The Magnificent Seven." Now we are "The Elite Eight." One of meowmie's co-workers said she must stop before we become "The Sweet Sixteen." Hee hee.
Our new brofur is a two year old seal point Siamese. He made be a mixed breed - we can't tell. He definitely looks like he is full Siamese...except for his missing tail. According to the information meowmie was given at the shelter, he's never had a tail. He was born tail-less. We suppose it's possible that he could be a Meezer/Manx mix. Whatever the case is, he is a very handsome boy.
His name is Memphis and he came from the city pound. Meowmie said she couldn't believe that such a handsome cat was there! Although she also thinks all kitties are beautiful and can't understand why so many of them end up in shelters. He was very curious about his new digs when he arrived at the house. He spent most of the afternoon and evening walking around and around just checking the house, and us, out. Most of us don't seem to mind him. Bandit and he are already chasing each other around. Sable and Seren and I (Clarissa) ignore him. Daisy isn't too sure of him yet, although she hasn't tried to bully him. Jazzpurr growls at him and Fiona hisses at him, but meowmie thinks that will get better with time. When Jazzpurr first came here she growled and me and Sable. Then she growled at everyone who is come in after her. Fiona is a little cat with a big attitude. I think she is trying to let Memphis know that she is the boss, or at least she thinks she is.
Memphis had his first vet visit yesterday with our vet. He received a clean bill of health. He did get his second distemper vaccine and he got his claws trimmed. He was so good too. He didn't complain or fuss at all. He didn't hang out with meowmie much last night, but sometime during the night he got in her bed! He was sleeping there this morning when she got up.
So far it looks like he's going to fit in with our fur family...but would someone please tell meomwie that nine is enough!
